The Ports of my Sea
I am walking down the shore
Where I see my anchor dwindle
And feel fire inside me rekindle
Reached out hand and touched the port
Realized I was just a few hours short
Saw at far end those screaming children
Herad the rumblings and cacophony
Tasted the real taste of my luck within me
And a softness of that existing harmony
Mind desires to stop a second and stay
Couldn’t hault my heart to stray away
Away from those distant memories of
Love, luck, laughter, relations, and cries
To catch hold of them I tried and tried
There is a mark that I so wish to reach
perhaps even beat away distant memories
I have reached it, oh yes! I have achieved
But wonder, was that what I really wanted?
The thoughts that badly wanted to delete.
This is me, for me, this is mine
Thoughts of life – the journey so fine
I have touched the port, maybe more
Reached here with such a force but,
Desire never over – my sea yet to be filled!
