A little peek outside my window slide

I saw my neighbour’s backyard and side

With a garden table set right in the centre

Showcasing vase of blue Larkspur divine.

 

Mixing with roses and other green freshness

I could smell their full fragrance with madness

when I look at them, I wish with my heart silly

What if there was a pond of white-Water Lily?

 

Looking at them while I do my everyday chores

These bursts of colour give me immense hope

That breaks me away from a mundane lifestyle

And fill me with the energy to run twice a mile!

 

I wish I could be those lilies and every prettiness around

Indulging myself in this luxury of various birds’ sound

Wishing for these flowering in July to stay a little more

Spreading joy, love and happiness everywhere in galore

 

Hoping against hope and wishing against wishes is no harm

When we are ready to spread fertile happiness on the farm.
